Due to the interactive nature of our portrait sessions, the perfect ages for this experience are between 3 and 10. You know, the ages when they can really interact and aren’t too old for that childhood innocence. However, this is just meant as a guide. We do take children as young as 6 months as long as they can sit unassisted for long periods of time and also children older than 10. For those ages we are still able to create beautiful portraits but the interactive portion of the session does not apply, you should expect a traditional photoshoot.
We recommend solid colored Christmas Pajamas, deep reds and greens look great on our set. We love nightgowns for the girls and bare feet are preferred.
A few days before gather everything you plan to bring. If you must cut your child’s hair, do so a week or two before the event. If possible, plan your session during a time that corresponds with your smallest child’s ‘best time.’ When you arrive, take a deep calming breath and trust us. We’ve been doing this a long time and we know what we’re doing. Our goal is to not only give you amazing artwork but a great experience. Just sit back and watch the magic unfold.
Your session fee includes a private one-on-one visit with Santa and 8 different interactions with Santa during your private session, including your child’s name on the nice list!
The session price is all inclusive for immediate family. If you would like images of extended family, like a cousins picture for Grandma, we will happily book your two families back to back and at the end throw in a group shot at no additional charge. However, each family unit will need their own session.
Plan to be at our studio for approximately an hour and a half. This time will include the portrait experience itself, as well as time afterward to see the amazing artwork we create for you. This is the only time you’ll be able to view your portraits and order from your session. We don’t save any unordered images so if anyone else might want to place an order they will need to attend the session.
**If you booked one of our new Zoom appointments, plan to be at the studio for 30 minutes with a 60 minute follow up zoom session the next week. This is the only time you’ll be able to view your portraits and order from your session. We don’t save any unordered images so if anyone else might want to place an order they will need to attend the zoom viewing session.
PLEASE NOTE: you cannot switch from a regular appointment to a zoom appointment.
You must be on time for your session or risk forfeiting it. Our sessions are booked back to back all day long and we operate at full capacity.
All sessions are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your session for any reason you forfeit your session retainer fee. You may reschedule if there is a date available for a $75 rescheduling fee. Any reschedule requests must be done 30 days prior to your appointment.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accommodate moving appointments between months. The month you are scheduled in must be the month your session occurs in.
Yes, we are able to work with special needs children. Just be advised that the waiting room and session room are separated by stairs and there is no alternative entrance.
That depends. We have two session types. If you are scheduled for a session on the hour you can expect to spend a total of 90 minutes at the studio on the day of your appointment and you will view your images immediately following your session. If you are scheduled for a session on the half hour with a follow-up zoom artwork viewing appointment you will view your images the following week.
Although no purchase is necessary, most people fall in love with what we create and want to have these images as a keepsake to look back on forever…long after their children outgrow the magic of Santa. Our portraits start at $550 and our wall art begins at $1,800. Some families spend $500, others spend $5,000, a typical investment at our studio is $2,500. We do not have packages. We’ll curate the order you desire and based on your needs, we have the ability to pass along savings of 10 to 50%.
Sessions that take place in September or October can expect their heirloom artwork during the first week of December. Sessions that take place in November or December will receive their heirloom artwork after the Christmas holiday.
The award winning artwork created during our Santa Claus Experience has received the highest honors by the Professional Photographers of America in the children category. These award-winning submissions have been earned exclusively through client work. When you visit the Santa Claus Experience with Foster Fine Art Portraits you are getting much more than just a picture or photograph, you are getting memories that will last a lifetime accompanied by art pieces or our sought after storybook of those whom are most important in your life; your family and your children.
